Workshop History

The idea that started Workshop was first conceived back in 1971. Several of the LAND majors approached the faculty and expressed their desire to host an event dedicated exclusively to Landscape Architecture. The faculty were all behind it, and the Workshop seed had been planted.

Well...the year came and went and there was no Workshop. Again the students approached the faculty and asked them why the event was not held. The faculty polited responded stating that since the students wanted to host it, then it was the students' responsibility to organize and coordinate it. With that, the Workshop seed began to grow.

The following year several students got together and hosted the first Workshop. Through the years it grew into one of the premiere events at the entire College of Architecture at Texas A&M
